Don’t think you are. Know you are and know your power

Only if we are brave enough to stand up for our rights and speak truth to power, can we release the power of truth and change the atmosphere. That’s exactly the message of the Gosple of Jesus. Only if we, the people, are free in our own mind, can we expect a truthful and trustworthy “government of the people, by the people, for the people“. Only the truth can set us free. Only if we are willing to change our mind from fear to love, from a language of separation to a language of unity and loving-kindness,  can the Kingdom become visible. We should not vote for a party, we should vote for truth and elect leaders who reflect that. In the moment you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

Don’t think you are. Know you are and know your power. You are not ordinary, you are in fact a unique vessel of the creative divine powers of creation. C.S. Lewis wrote in the “Weight of Glory”: “There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations – these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub and exploit – immortal horrors or everlasting splendors.”

We can choose the way of immortal horrors or everlasting splendor in every moment of our life. But it must be a decision of our free will. A decision of our heart.

Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost. The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men, cries out for universal brotherhood, for the unity of us all […] Don’t fight for slavery! Fight for liberty! In the 17th Chapter of St. Luke it is written: “the Kingdom of God is within man” — not one man nor a group of men, but in all men! In you! You, the people have the power — the power to create machines. The power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure.

    1. We are already powerful. It is only the fear that weakens us. We must learn to not give our power away to someone else. Never give the world the power to take away your peace and your true identity as the beloved Son of God. We are connected to the Source of all power, life and inspiration. How can we not be powerful? That’s impossible 🙂 Blessings to you, Mark
